Sowing methods DD SYSTEMDOUBLE DISC FOR CONVENTIONAL SOWING
The double disc seeding coulters are designed to ensure precise seed placement in both conventional and minimum tillage conditions. They offer good adaptability to the terrain and are less sensitive to crop residues than simpler coulters, although they have different levels of performance and working capacity.
The double disc system goes one step further in terms of cutting capacity and consistency. Its configuration with a 14” offset double disc made of boron steel allows it to work not only in conventional sowing but also in minimum tillage, handling light crop residues more effectively.
The presence of an adjustable rear depth control wheel helps maintain a more uniform seed placement, whilst the spring-loaded pressure system ensures simplicity, lightness and reliability in operation.
From an agronomic perspective, it promotes even crop establishment when the soil is well managed. The double disc provides greater capacity for working with light crop residues and in minimum tillage situations, maintaining good depth control and more stable sowing.
ON WHICH SEED DRILLS IS IT AVAILABLE?

Recommended uses
- Conventional sowing and minimum tillage, particularly where there is light crop residue and greater cutting capacity and better depth control are required.
Performance characteristics
- Good adaptation to the terrain.
- Proper furrow formation in conventional sowing.
- Ability to work with crop residues: moderate with a single disc and superior with a double disc.
- Better depth control with an adjustable rear wheel.
- More stable seed placement under minimum tillage conditions.
