The SM system is designed to offer maximum versatility across a wide range of working conditions, from conventional sowing to minimum tillage and non till. Within the SOLÀ range, it stands out as a particularly robust solution, designed for farms that need to combine penetration capacity, consistent seed placement and low maintenance costs.

Its design is based on a 16 mm thick high-strength steel seeding coulter, built to withstand demanding conditions and heavy workloads season after season. It features a double pressure spring, which improves the stability of the row unit in the ground and helps maintain a more consistent working depth, even when soil hardness or field conditions change.

One of its key features is the interchangeable tine made from wear-resistant material with a tungsten carbide tip, designed to offer high wear resistance and quick replacement using a single bolt. Added to this is the wear-resistant coated seed boot, the antistatic seed tube and a reinforced connection assembly, designed to ensure mechanical reliability and continuous operation with minimal maintenance.

From an agronomic perspective, the SM system stands out for its ability to achieve uniform crop establishment in a wide variety of conditions. Its configuration facilitates furrow opening and correct seed placement, maintaining a good balance between penetration, placement and coverage. This is particularly beneficial on fields where sowing equipment is required that can perform reliably both on prepared land and in situations with greater structural challenges or moderate crop residue.

This versatility is underpinned by SOLÀ’s definition of it as a multi-purpose coulter suitable for non till sowing, minimum tillage and conventional sowing.

The system incorporates, in certain versions, individual depth adjustment, which is particularly useful for the units operating behind the wheel track. This allows for finer tuning of the sowing equipment’s performance on heterogeneous fields, where maintaining a consistent depth is crucial for achieving more uniform emergence and, consequently, a more balanced crop establishment.
