Main Functions

  • Manual and mechanical assembly of industrial parts and assemblies according to technical drawings.

  • Use of hand tools, power tools, and pneumatic tools (drills, angle grinders, wrenches, etc.).

  • Verification of dimensions and the quality of the final product.

  • Compliance with workplace safety and organization standards.

  • Collaboration with the production and supervision teams.

  • Operating light-duty overhead cranes, jib cranes, and other lifting equipment to move parts and subassemblies.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in industrial or metallurgical assembly.

  • Ability to interpret drawings, instructions, and work instructions.

  • Manual dexterity, precision, and attention to detail.

  • Training in manufacturing or a related field is a plus.

  • Responsible, organized, and a good team player.

The Position:

Perform repairs, commissioning, and demonstrations of machinery.
Provide technical support and product advice to distributors and end customers.
Location: Calaf – Barcelona.
Willingness to travel within and outside of Spain.

Responsibilities:

Supervising and commissioning equipment.
Repairing and maintaining equipment.
Providing technical support—either by phone or in person—to distributors and end customers.
Act as the customer’s point of contact to address their requests and/or needs.
Communicate daily with the manager.
Work independently and manage your own time to achieve set goals.
Participate in the continuous improvement of the products offered by the brand.

Requirements:

Technical experience combining mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical components.
Work experience in after-sales service for agricultural machinery is a plus.
Languages: English. Knowledge of other languages such as French, Italian, or others is a plus.
Proficiency with computer tools: Microsoft Office suite.
Must reside in the Central Catalonia region.

Job Description

We are looking for a Process Engineer with experience in industrial settings to optimize and standardize the manufacturing and assembly processes for agricultural machinery. The successful candidate will play a key role in improving production efficiency, reducing costs, and ensuring the successful industrialization of new products, working closely with the production, quality, and engineering departments.

Location: Calaf (Barcelona). This is a 100% on-site position.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.

  • 3–5 years of experience in metalworking manufacturing processes, mechanical assembly, and welding; experience with agricultural machinery is a plus.

  • Technical knowledge of reading blueprints, metalworking processes, ERP (RPS preferred), and CAD (SolidWorks).

  • Analytical mindset, focused on continuous improvement, and ability to work effectively in a team.

  • Residence in the Calaf area (central Catalonia) or willingness to work on-site.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Process analysis and improvement

· Identify bottlenecks, rework, waste, and deviations.

· Conduct time and motion studies to optimize assembly lines and cells.

· Redesign processes to increase productivity, safety, and ergonomics.

· Evaluate new manufacturing and automation technologies applicable to the factory.

2. Definition and Technical Documentation

· Develop and maintain process documentation: work instructions, quality checklists (self-inspections), production line and general factory layouts, and tooling and equipment sheets.

· Review product structures in the ERP system and report deviations or opportunities for improvement to the Technical Department.

3. Industrialization of New Products

· Collaborate with the Engineering Department from the early stages to ensure a manufacturing-oriented design.

· Define jigs, templates, special tools, and machinery requirements.

· Coordinate pilot tests and validate cycle times.

4. In-Process Quality Control

· Define quality control checkpoints on welding, painting, and assembly lines.

· Manage internal nonconformities and coordinate corrective actions.

· Analyze KPIs: scrap, rework, efficiency, and rejection rates.

5. Direct Support to Production

· Support supervisors in resolving day-to-day technical issues.

· Monitor compliance with work instructions and standards.

· Ensure a stable production flow in the face of product specification changes and design changes.

6. Continuous Improvement and Strategic Projects

· Implement visual systems and 5S in the factory.

· Propose layout modifications aimed at reducing movements and the distance traveled.

7. Safety and Environment

· Apply industrial safety criteria to processes and workstations.

· Ensure that practices comply with environmental and safety regulations.

SECTOR-SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

A) Critical Metalworking Processes

· Optimize component welding, using both robotic and manual systems (TIG/MIG).

· Reduce variability in production quality.

· Coordinate improvements in painting for varying batches, quality levels, and color differences.

B) Agricultural assembly processes

· Standardize the assembly of various components for seeders and fertilizer spreaders.

· Validate assembly sequences and self-checks.

· Optimize internal logistics for kits and subassemblies (kitting).

C) Functional Quality Control

· Define self-inspections at various workstations, implement them, and monitor their execution.

· Coordinate pre-delivery functional tests (simulated seeding, fertilizer distribution) on a sample of machines.

EXPECTED OBJECTIVES:

  • Reduction in production times by a defined annual percentage.

  • Reduction in scrap and rework.

  • Increase in productivity per workstation, per person, and per assembly station.

  • Standardization of 100% of key processes.

  • Industrialization of new seed drill and fertilizer spreader models without deviations.
