Sowing methods DDP SYSTEM
DOUBLE DISC WITH PARALLELOGRAM
The double disc seeding coulter with parallelogram linkage is designed to ensure precise and consistent seed placement in both conventional and minimum tillage conditions. Its design combines robustness, ground-following capability and highly precise depth control, resulting in more uniform emergence even on fields with crop residues.
The system incorporates a 14” offset double disc opener, made from boron steel, which improves cutting and soil penetration. This configuration allows for more efficient operation on land with crop residues, ensuring a clean and even furrow opening. Furthermore, the triple-sealed bearings guarantee high durability in dusty environments and demanding conditions.
One of the key elements is the articulated parallelogram, which allows for optimal tracking of the ground profile. This system maintains a constant working angle of the sowing assembly, ensuring that the depth remains consistent regardless of ground irregularities. Added to this is the adjustable depth control wheel, which enhances the stability of the sowing assembly and improves the uniformity of seed placement.
The assembly features independent depth and pressure adjustment, allowing each sowing unit to be adjusted to the specific conditions of the field. The spring system provides up to 55 kg of ground pressure, ensuring proper penetration even in harder soils or those with greater vegetation cover.
From an agronomic perspective, this system stands out for its ability to maintain a consistent seeding depth and excellent planting uniformity, key factors in maximising crop potential. Its versatility makes it a particularly suitable solution for farms practising minimum tillage or requiring greater control under variable conditions, without compromising on the efficiency of conventional sowing.
SEED DRILLS AVAILABLE WITH THE DDP SYSTEM
Recommended uses
- Non till planting into stubble or plant cover
- Fields with high levels of crop residue
- Conservation agriculture systems
- Wet or heavy soil conditions
- Situations where minimal disturbance to the soil profile is required
Agronomic benefits
- Effective cutting of crop residue thanks to the front turbo disc
- Better penetration in covered or compacted soils
- Precise seedbed formation using a double disc
- Less compaction of the seedbed walls due to the reduced opening angle
- Good performance in wet soils, reducing clogging and build-up
- Uniform seeding depth even in demanding conditions
- Greater energy efficiency by reducing forward resistance

Cereal seed drills
The technology of this family of seed drills is mainly based on the
drop of the seed in the previously opened furrow.
By means of a distributor that doses the cereal according to the configuration made,
the seed falls by gravity or is conveyed by means of a pneumatic system, depending on the model of seed drill.
There are models for conventional sowing, minimum tillage or direct sowing.
